Visited Switzerland in late June. This country is as picturesque as you may have imagined. Late June is considered to be the peak season for wild flowers in the Alps. We hiked a lot in the mountains, mainly Murren, North face trail from Allmendhubel, Mannlichen and Kleine Scheidegg. The snow was still fresh on the mountains..some of the higher altitude trails had just opened ..meadows were lush green , adorned by a carpet of alpine flowers !! Sounds of cow bells magically filled the air. I am still soaked in...............
