Arrived here at 5:00 AM but there was another fellow photographer!! This place was made famous by Ansel Adams who took a classic shot from here in 1942. The entire experience of watching sunrise from this spot shall linger on!! Wish there were more clouds!

I had noticed this patch of mustard fields during my trip to the coast for ocean pictures. And I would always wonder how splendid it would be to watch the full moon rising up the hills !! Last month, it turned out to be cloudy during full moon. This time it was better and I wouldn't want to miss it. The setting sun rendered the sky pink and red. While taking the shot, This is a single shot. I had to be careful to not wash out the details of the moon.

Mammoth hot springs!! You can spots the vents of geysers here!! Yes they do go off!! There is magma chamber underneath that heats water!!
